Copy of "A.E.C" ROOK cartridge

The A.E.C. “ROOK” shotgun cartridge, produced as a specialised cartridge for pest and vermin control.

The evocative “ROOK” branding reflects the important working role of the shotgun in British agricultural, estate and gamekeeping life, where specialised cartridges were marketed for the control of vermin and other agricultural pests.

An unusual example of British working ammunition and an interesting addition to a collection of named, pest-control, gamekeeping and agricultural cartridges.
