Eley "ZENITH" Cartridge 12 gauge
An attractive Eley “Zenith” 12-bore sporting cartridge, representing one of the classic named cartridges from Eley’s extensive pre-war ammunition range.
The Zenith formed part of Eley’s prestigious sporting cartridge selection during the inter-war years and is documented in the company’s 1935 ammunition catalogue, alongside other famous Eley names including the Velocity, Alphamax, Empire and Grand Prix.
The 12-bore Zenith is recorded with a distinctive brick-red case, typical of the colour-coded paper cartridges used by Eley to distinguish the many different loads and qualities within its sporting range.
With its evocative “Zenith” branding and traditional paper-case construction, this is an appealing survivor from the golden age of British sporting ammunition and an excellent example of Eley’s extensive range of named cartridges.
