"SOLD" Early Rare -Jefferys "Sharpshooter"12 Gauge Cartridge

A very Early and rare W. J. Jeffery & Co. “Sharpshooter” 12-bore sporting cartridge, supplied under the name of the famous London gun and rifle maker.

Founded in London in 1891, W. J. Jeffery & Co. became internationally renowned for its sporting guns and powerful big-game rifles. Alongside its firearms, the company offered an extensive range of shotgun ammunition carrying distinctive proprietary names.

“Sharpshooter” was one of Jeffery's established cartridge brands and is documented in the firm's catalogues by 1910–11, alongside other Jeffery cartridges including Champion, Empire, Club and XXX. The Sharpshooter name proved remarkably enduring.
