Eley Saluting Blank Cartridge

An interesting Eley Saluting Blank cartridge, produced specifically for ceremonial and saluting purposes.

Unlike conventional sporting cartridges, the Saluting Blank was intended to produce a report without a conventional shot load. Examples such as this provide an interesting reminder of the wide variety of specialised cartridges once manufactured by Eley alongside its better-known sporting ammunition.

With its distinctive period case and Eley markings, this is an attractive example of historic British cartridge manufacture and an interesting addition to a collection of Eley, blank or specialised shotgun cartridges.

Please note: sold solely as a collectible.
