Eleys Kynoch "PRIMAX" Cartridge
Eley Kynoch "Primax" Cartridge
An attractive Eley-Kynoch “PRIMAX” shotgun cartridge, representing one of the established sporting cartridge names associated with the famous Kynoch ammunition works at Witton, Birmingham.
The PRIMAX name originated with Kynoch before the First World War and continued following the consolidation of the British ammunition industry and the subsequent use of the Eley-Kynoch name.
Primax remained part of Kynoch's sporting cartridge range during the inter-war years and is recorded alongside other well-known Kynoch loads of the period. Surviving examples provide an interesting reminder of the enormous variety of named sporting cartridges once offered to the British shooting market.
An appealing example of inter-war British sporting ammunition, particularly suited to a collection of Eley, Kynoch or named shotgun cartridges.
