Frank Dyke's 'Supreme'
Frank Dyke's classic 'Supreme' cartridge.
A scarce example of the British gun trade, Frank Dyke’s “Supreme” was a house-branded shotgun cartridge supplied by the long-established gunmaker and ammunition merchant Frank Dyke & Co. Its traditional paper case, period typography and confidently named “Supreme” loading give it considerable visual appeal and historical character.
Produced during the first half of the twentieth century, this surviving cartridge offers an evocative connection to the independent gun shops and specialist ammunition suppliers that once served Britain’s sporting community. An attractive addition to any collection of vintage cartridges, shooting memorabilia or historic gunmaking ephemera.
