Mullerite "Yellow Seal" 12 Gauge Cartridge

A Mullerite "Yellow Seal" 12 Gauge Cartridge produced by the Mullerite Cartridge Works of Birmingham during the inter-war period.

Established in Birmingham in 1922, the Mullerite Cartridge Works produced a distinctive range of British shotgun ammunition using Mullerite and Clermonite propellants. Among the firm's proprietary cartridge names were “The Yellow Seal” and the appropriately named “The Ace Long Range.”

An attractive and unusual survivor of inter-war Birmingham cartridge manufacture.
